CITAD, Dukawuya United Join Forces to Promote Education Through Football in Kano

The Center for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) has partnered with Dukawuya United, a local football club, to bolster educational initiatives through sports in Kano State.

This was disclosed today, Wednesday, in Kano while the Executive Director of CITAD, Engr. Yunusa Zakari Ya’u, unveiled the new jersey in his office.

Engr. Ya’u said the collaboration aims to leverage the popularity of football to engage youth in educational activities and promote positive social change.

“We see football as a powerful platform to create educational opportunities for young people in our region,” Yau said.

Engr. Yau emphasized that Dukawuya United will require all players to hold a minimum Secondary School Certificate qualification. “This unique approach highlights the initiative’s dual focus: promoting both football and education for Kano’s youth.”

Mr. Abdulyassar, representing Dukawuya United, expressed gratitude for CITAD’s support and echoed their commitment to using football as a tool for education and community development.
