The association of Nigeria Women Journalist NAWOJ said women should ensure their collect their PVC in order to cast their vote in next year elections.
The chairperson caretaker committee of association Kano state chapter, Hajiya Hafsat Usman Sani stated this at a one day sensitization workshop organized by the association for female journalist in Kano state.
Hajiya Hafsat further said collection of PVC will pave way to allow women, vote for their choice.
” The election of next year is a big chance to women to vote for right person who will lead the country for next four years” Hajiya Hafsat added.
Speaking at the event the public relations officer of Independent National electoral commission INEC, Alhaji Adam Muhammad Maulud urges the Nawojians to collaborate with the commission in an effort to distribute the remaining PVC before the forthcoming election.
“Currently the commission as more than 399 thousand uncollected PVC who registered in
2019, Maulud added.
The first and second batches are ready for collection while the 3rd and 4th batch will be ready by October, Adam Maulud said.
on his part Kano state commissioner of information comrade Muhammad Garba represented by the president of Nigeria Union of Journalist kano state chapter, comrade Abbas Ibrahim, called on Nawojians to be more adaptive in career and report what exactly what happen.
