Centre For information Technology and Development (CITAD) has presented prizes to winners of COVID 19 Vaccine campaign for their outstanding performance in creating awareness about COVID 19 Vaccine.
During presentation of the prizes on Thursday in Kano, CITAD Project Manager, Public Education on COVID 19 Project Hamza Ibrahim said, the center have trained 18 Youth in Kano, Kaduna, Plateau, Kogi, Bauchi and Borno state to monitor fake news on COVID-19 vaccine as well as creating awareness on the vaccine among the public.
He said Joseph Aturu from Kogi state won the first prize ( Refrigerator), Kwapiki Peter Ubq from Borno state won Plasma TV as 2nd prize while Hauwa Kabir Lawal from Plateau won the third prize ( Medium Size Laptop).
Hamza Ibrahim said the event which is monthly, is aimed at encouraging them to work hard in educating the public about the importance of COVID 19 Vaccine.
”Reports are submitted by the youth every month on what they recorded on fake news about COVID 19 Vaccine, their campaign activities. Our team of judges will screen the report and forward best three for award to CITAD”
The Awards recipients, thanked the center for recognizing their efforts, promising to redouble energy towards more success.
