Kano Goes Green: CITAD Sets Example with Tree Planting Drive to Combat Climate Crisis

In an effort to address deforestation and promote awareness of climate change, the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) participated in a tree planting campaign at its Kano headquarters.

Engineer Y. Z Ya’u, CITAD’s founder and Executive Director, led the planting efforts with staff members today, Thursday.

The initiative, known as #MakeKanoGreen, emphasizes the significance of personal involvement in tackling climate change.

Ya’u stated, “Climate Change is real. Planting a tree today can save lives. Let’s join hands and work together to combat deforestation.”

This initiative encourages the Kano community and beyond to take action. By planting trees, individuals can contribute to a healthier environment, better air quality, and a more sustainable planet.
