Kano-LEADS, KCCI, BOA Move to Strengthen Access to Finance for Women in Agriculture 

The Kano Leadership Enlightenment and Advocacy for Development Initiative (#DaRUWANA), in partnership with the Kano Concerned Citizens Initiative and the Bank of Agriculture, have moved to strengthen access to finance for women in Agriculture in Kano state. 

The organizations convened the forum with over 400 women in attendance and sensitized them on five categories of loan facilities specifically for women in the Bank of Agriculture.

The sensitization lecture, aimed at encouraging women to pursue growth opportunities and promote economic inclusion took place at Trade Fair Complex, Zoo road, Kano.

The program provided an opportunity for the participants to learn the step-by-step procedures for loan acquisition from the Bank, including the collateral involved in the process and nature of repayment.

In a goodwill message, The President of the organization, Haj. Aisha I. Dankani commends the laudable strides of the management of the Bank of Agriculture and the Leadership of the Kano Concerned Citizens Initiative for their tremendous support toward the success of the program.

She said Kano-LEADS will set up a special desk at its Secretariat for 1 Month of registration and guidance for the participants to ensure hitch-free access to the loan facilities at the Bank.

Speaking, the Managing Director, Bank of Agriculture, Alh. Alwan Hassan noted that the Bank, being a development finance institution in agriculture is providing loan credit facilities for Individuals and SMEs related to the objectives of the Bank.

He urged the participants to apply for the available credit loan facilities in the Bank and improve their trade and businesses.
